1. How do I start a tattoo consultation?

2. How do I book a tattoo appointment?

  • In person with a cash deposit, OR

  • After we've had a Consultation, on my Booking Website as you set up your appointment, you will be able to pay online.

  • Over the phone consultation, set up appointment, and pay.

3. Where are you located?

  • The Carriage House Salon in Urbana.

  • 213 Scioto St. Urbana, OH 43078.

4. What can I expect for my tattoo session?

  • An always clean environment.

  • Good people who are friendly and fun to be around. Awesome vibes at this salon!

  • Other areas of the building offer nail and hair services!

  • Sterilized instruments and pigments. Pigments and disposable products are changed in between each client, and all equipment is sterilized.

  • You can bring a small snack and bottle of water, but no food is allowed by the stations.

  • 18+ ID is required. (Or other legal form of identification).

  • Minors MUST be accompanied by their legal guardian.

6. How much do your tattoo services cost?

  • Tattoos are charged $100 per hour, $60 minimum.

  • Estimates are not exact, and you will be charged by the hour for your work.

7. Do you take Walk-ins?

  • Not at this time.

  • You can make an appointment with a deposit.

8. What forms of payment are there?

  • Cash is always preferred. Other options include PayPal, Square (debit/credit card), Venmo, and CashApp.

9. Can I prepay or buy a certificate?

  • Yes you can, CASH ONLY. 

10. What is included in the final cost?

  • The total hours worked on your tattoo including drawing time for an original design, stencil work, station prep, the duration of the tattoo, and the supplies used. Minus breaks! (I won’t charge for standing around and talking), AND minus any deposit, prepay, or certificate that you have.

11. Do I have to pay a deposit?

  • Yes, deposits are required for all appointments as you set the appointment up in person or online.

  • This does 3 things: applies towards the final cost of your tattoo on the day of the appointment, guarantees your time and date, and allows me to begin drawing the design.

13. Is my deposit refundable?

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, please do so at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time. If not, your deposit will not be credited to your tattoo or refunded.

  • If you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time, your deposit will be credited to your next appointment.

14. Are touch-ups free?

  • Yes on my own work only! A touch-up is to restore any ink that may have fallen out during healing. This could be your fault or mine, I don’t care. I’ll touch it up for free!

  • Fingers, hands, toes, and feet are NOT covered for free touch ups because they typically fade at least a little bit, and especially on fingers and toes.

  • Touch-ups are free, however when scheduling, you will still need to pay a deposit. If the touch-up is the only work you have done this session, there is a $20 fee for the set up.

  • If we are CHANGING or ADDING on to your tattoo, you will owe the hourly rate for that additional work.

15. Do you charge for drawings?

  • Yes, A custom design/drawing is charged at 50/hr plus materials. This includes any time to make the design, or drawing it directly on skin.

  • A drawing or design isn’t started until the deposit is made.

  • (PS) A Consultation is in person, on the phone, or online. We talk and figure out exactly what you want, and make a rough sketch before moving on to the drawing. This is all free!

16. Are you certified?

  • Yes! I meet all requirements by the state of Ohio to do professional tattoos and piercings. I am certified in First Aid and CPR/AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens. As well as about 8 years of training under masters of over 25 years experience, and extensive training on cross-contamination.

 

17. Do you use clean supplies / new needles?

  • Absolutely, yes! I clean everything before and after every client. I use all new disposable products for every tattoo. I do not reuse any supplies taken out for one individual to re-use on the next person.

 

18. What equipment / ink do you use?

  • I mainly use a rotary tattoo machine, The Mast.

  • I typically use Eternal Ink (sometimes Fusion) for all of my colors, including white, and Kuro Sumi Black Outlining Ink for all of my black and grey.

  • I use Elite and EZ Revolution pre-sterilized needles / cartridges.

19. How many years have you been doing tattoos/ how many tattoos have you done?

  • I have a about 8 years of real-world tattooing experience, and I am ever learning.

  • I also have been piercing for about 3 years 

 

20. Do you tattoo minors / allow minors in the shop?

  • Minors are allowed in, under 18 MUST be accompanied by their legal guardian.

  • Tattoos 12+ (at my discretion).

  • Minors (at my discretion) are allowed to get a piercing with their birth certificate, parent or guardian present with their ID, and guardianship paperwork if they are a guardian. 

 

21. Do you do piercings?

  • Yes,  $25-$50 each plus tax, jewelry is included! Most piercings cost $40 each.

  • 18+ ID is required.

  • Nipple piercings are 18+ only.

  • I can pierce ears as young as 6 months. 

  • Minors are allowed with their birth certificate, parent or guardian present with their ID, and guardianship paperwork if they are a guardian.

22. How much can I get done in an hour?

  • One of my most FAQ’s. This depends on difficulty, size, and detail of the piece. I want to take my time and make sure your permanent body art stays looking good for a long time!

  • Good tattoos don’t always come CHEAP, but cheap tattoos don’t always come GOOD.
